People often want to know why they should settle their case. I work with clients so that I can understand what are their most important objectives.
As long as those objectives are achieved, settling a case out of court reduces legal fees and reduces the risk that a judge will make a decision that does not meet your objectives.
When the objectives can not be achieved by settling with the other party, then it is up to me as my client's advocate to put forth evidence that is geared toward convincing the judge or family court magistrate that those objectives are right and fair.
